All I do is dream of you

The other day I amazingly find a beautiful song (don't know who's the composer) performed by Alexander on a Norwegian TV news program. The song is quite short, but being as short as it is, it represents quite good as many feelings as love makes you feel, as many lonely nights as it brings to you, and as many beautiful and grateful smiles as it makes you fake or make. Somehow, that song made me happy meanwhile I was listening, and I just wanted to share it with you. Don't forget that love makes us stronger than we seem, that love is the flame that keeps on shining through the darkness, no matter if it's windy or not, if it's warm or cold. Hold it on your hands, and never let it go! :)

Happy B-Day Alexander! :D

Today it’s a special day for me. Today, my greatest idol, the one who made me believe in myself, the one who made me live life as a fairytale, fair and sweet Alexander Rybak, is 26, and I want to thank him a lot of great moments, all them because of his magic songs and smiles.
Alexander was born 26 years ago in Minsk, Belarus, when it was a part of the USSR, so long ago. At the age of four, his family moved to Norway, and since that moment, the career of the most adorable among all singers and musicians began. Alexander learnt to play the violin and the piano, supported by his parents (they both were prestigious musicians within Norway) and soon, his prestige began to grow up like wildfire.
In the year 2005, Alexander entered the Norwegian version of Idol, reaching the semifinals, and after that appearance, he finally entered the TV program hosted by NRK and titled ‘The Great Opportunity’ with his own composition ‘Foolin’, a really modern music masterpiece.
Until that moment, Alexander had won so many prizes due to his work and composition, but the best of all was about to come.
In 2009, great Alexander Rybak entered the NRK preselection show for Eurovision, the well-known ‘Melodi Grand Prix’. Since the first time, Alexander was the complete favorite, so much so that he won the contest with a difference of more than 600000 votes away from the second one.
Instantly, Alexander Rybak became a clear favorite to win Eurovision, and no one apart from him would be able to face him on the final. His success spread throughout Europe amazingly soon, and betting odds were lead by the best Norwegian singer and violinist of all times.

Finally, the Second Semifinal’s day arrive, and it was time for Alexander, featuring the dance company ‘Frikar’ to take the stage and do their best, exactly as they did. The staging was so original, and almost every country gave Norway the best score. If he was the favorite since the first time, now he was really the absolute favorite to earn a brilliant and soft crystal microphone from Dima Bilan’s hands.
The day of the Final finally arrive. The greatest stage (because of its size, obviously) in Eurovision history was invaded by an overall of 25 countries, each one with a different staging, more or less spectacular, but quite good anyway. And among them, dear Alexander shone again with his own light.
The voting arrived, and the hosts of the 54th Eurovision Song Contest began to show the results, from 42 countries around Europe. Spain (my own country) was the first one, and how amazing… could you guess where were the 12 points to? To Norway, obviously! And so, 12 by 12 (with some exceptions, but almost 12 by 12) Alexander Rybak finall scored an overall of 387 points, which is the greatest score ever scored in Eurovision history, and they have to pass so many years to get it better.
Dima Bilan delivered the trophy to Alexander, who was standing on stage with a big smile, and with a bit of bewilderment. He couldn’t believe he had won the Eurovision Song Contest, and I’ll go further, he couldn’t believe he had scored the biggest score ever! His amazing voice filled up the Olimpiski for twice, and a spectacular magic raised over Europe. The next stop would be Norway, and Alexander would be the honour host, no doubt!

But before Eurovision, Alexander received an unique opportunity: he was selected to perform during the Nobel Prize Delivery Ceremony, held every year in fair Oslo. That year it was the famous President of the U.S., very honorable Barack Obama, who received the prize according to his working to spread the peace worldwide. Alexander Rybak performed that year amazingly good, with an awesome staging (featuring the dance company Frikar, of course) and with a very famous host: Hollywood’s star Will Smith, who presented his performance as a finishing touch. The perfect end for an unforgettable night!

Finally, the 29th May 2010 Eurovision’s final came back definitively to Norway: a huge Telenor Arena (some kilometers away from Oslo) was ready to host and broadcast to Europe the biggest TV show ever imagined.  The opening act, as always, was conducted by Alexander Rybak, who performed his theme ‘Fairytale’ in middle of a crowded arena, excited and so, so nervous and glad. His performance, once more, was really great, and a perfect beginning for a perfect night, whose winner was Germany, represented on stage by young Lena Meyer-Landrut, with his hit ‘Satellite’. When delivering the crystal trophy, Alexander had time enough to make some jokes and even kiss her lips, trying to fool adorable Lena. It was a moment I will never forget, and I think that’s why Eurovision is always so magic.
Alexander Rybak has also appeared on many Scandinavian and European TV shows. In addition, after winning the 54th Eurovision in Moscow, the Norwegian singer started a tour around Europe. He’s success on TV is so remarkable. For example, Alexander has performed so many songs and talked a lot about his own things and his life during Norwegian TV shows as God Morgen Norge, ‘Så ska det låta’ or Fin Fredag, and has been an inestimable guest on the famous TV show ‘Allsang på Grensen’, which is broadcasted to Norway and Sweden.

Alexander has been to a source of inspiration for everybody, even for directors. As an actor, Alexander Rybak has appeared on different films, and a famous Norwegian director has filmed a movie about his road to Moscow. The film was titled ‘Fairytale’. Alexander has also put his violin and his voice for the Russian science fiction film ‘Black Lighting’, which became a very important cinematographic production in Russia. I’m talking, of course, about his song ‘I don’t believe in miracles’, Super Hero.
Since 2009, Alexander Rybak has released an overall of three amazing albums, titled ‘Fairytales’ (2009) ‘No Boundaries’ (2010) and ‘Visa vid vindens ängar’ (2011). These albums include his most relevant songs, and a list of masterpieces composed, performed and sung by the Norwegian singer.
All his songs, without exception, are lovely, sweet and perfect, and it’s difficult to me to compare their quality. But instead, I’ll talk about my favorite ones.
Of course, fairytale, one of the sweetest love stories I’ve ever heard, composed entirely by Alexander, after winning Eurovision became a hit all around Europe, and  reached the top in all East European countries’ charts.
Europe’s Skies is another of his bestests pieces. The music video is probably his best one, and was filmed in Ukraine. The song is nostalgic, and the lyrics are just amazing:
‘’I don’t know you
But I need more time,
Promise me,
You’ll be mine.
Birds are flying over Europe’s skies
Tell me, please
Why can’t I?’’

I can’t forget about ‘Rolling With The Wind’, ‘Funny Little World’,  ‘Oah’, ‘5000 Letters’, Abandoned’, ‘Disney Girls’, ‘Kiss and Tell’, ‘Suomi’, ‘If you were gone’, ‘Dolphin’, ‘First Kiss’ or ‘Thirteen Horses’. The last one has a special meaning according to what happened in Norway last year. I’m talking about Utoya attacks, where many  innocents lost their lives while defending freedom. The song became instantly an hymn, and I have to say it’s difficult for me to listen to this song without crying.  It’s so, so sad.
Apart from all those songs, Alexander has made many covers. The most relevant: ‘I’m Yours’, ‘500 Miles’ and ‘No Milk Today’.
Well, it was all. I hope you liked it so much. Time has passed, life has changed, but no one could make me forget, how glad Alexander make me feel. Just because that, as a great fan, I thank him about all that, and I tell you that though the years pass, I will be always a proud fisher who sails through the nicest, sweetest, most perfect, loveliest, happiest, kindest,… sea, or as I call it, ALEXANDER RYBAK(:

No Milk Today

No Milk Today was a song from a group called Herman's Hermits, recorded so long ago, in 1966. But I didn't discover the song until I listened to Alexander Rybak's version, which is lovely and so melodious. For this ocassion, Alexander changed the arrangemet and introduced some violins featuring his sweet and soft voice. The result? a beautiful version, maybe even better than the original one, that floods into your heart and fills you with something rare, unidentifiable, but nostalgic, and somehow sad. A song I will remember and I will sing along, with strength, as Alexander, that great singer, did at once.

Dare I Say

Once more I'm here to talk about my sweetest, greatest, and most wonderful idol, my dear Alexander Rybak, the guy who showed me that impossible is nothing, the one who brought back a smile to me. And this time, here you are another ballad from this fantastic Norwegian singer. And, as always, a great one, with a great orchestral arrangement and so sweet and wonderful tunes, which make me feel amazingly fine, happy and glad.
Dare to live your dreams, dare to reach your purposes, dare to smile everyday, dare to kiss, and be kissed, everyday, everywhere, whenever, whoever, always. Dare. Nothing will happen if you don't have a try, then dare, and make the world yours. 'Cause dare I say, you're amazing in everyway. Listen and smile! (:

My very First Kiss

Along his career, the always great Alexander has composed a quite enough quantity of ballads. Almost all the songs from the Norwegian singer belong to this amazing and lovely genre. But, among all them, we have to remark this one. I guess Alexander was quite in love when composing this beautiful song, which tunes and melodies are warm as the sun, and cold as the frost, both at the same time. I'm not able to remember how many times I have listened to it exactly, but I think I have spent many beautiful minutes of my life listening to this incredible piece.
In adding, I have to remark about its beautiful orchestral arrangement, which is so cute, sweet and slow, as if a porcelain white finger was pinching the strings with a delicate beat. On the other hand, it reminds me some kind of march, above all because of its bass, so wonderful and magic, and about a fairytale too, as he did long time ago when winning Eurovision with his amazing Fairytale.
There's one thing I know completely for sure: though the wind blows so strong, though the sea floods over us, though the sun is so brightful that we can't see, I will never forget this beautiful tune, forever buried in the deepest place of my mind.

I Don't Believe In Miracles | Superhero

Alexander can sing and put his voice to everything. Here, there's a perfect example.
In 2009, some producers from Russia filmed the first Russian production about a Superhero: Black Lightning (or Chernaya Molniya in Russian). At the same time, Alexander composed a song titled 'I Don't Believe in Miracles', which became instantly popular all around Russia and Belarus. The song, about a superhero, became later in the main theme of the Russian film, and reached the top in all Russian music charts.
This song is not in English, but in Russian. The orchestral introduction is so beautiful, and Alexander's voice, as always, stays perfect, strong and sweet. The music video, filmed in Moscow, includes several scenes from the film, and shows how Alexander can make much more than a simple song. The magic of superheroes, brought by the best of all them: Alexander Rybak. Enjoy the video :)

OAH

Alexander is so fuuny and friendly. He loves joking, and he has even made some jokes on Eurovision about Lena, apart from kissing her when while he was bringing her the glass microphone ( the Eurovision trophy) on the 55th Eurovision final in Oslo. But maybe the best example of how funny he is is this amazing song, titled 'Oah', whose music video will make laugh and smile. After its releasing, the music video became popular almost instantly, and not only in Norway, but all around Europe.
The song tells the story of a guy (Alexander) who wants to go out with a girl called Moa, but that girl doesn't feel the same, so she asks Alexander to stop following her. From now on, Alexander begins following her everywhere she moves, and even when Moa takes a flight to have a relax time, Alexander seats in a seat next to her.
I find it so lovely and funny, and I swear that it's difficult to stop laughing after watching this amazing video. Alexander sings it so well, and all the actors from the music video are really good. And, of course, this is the song I use to listen to when I feel weary, dull, sad or scared because of something, because after viewing this no trouble can resist inside yourself. Do you want to smile? Then click on play! :)

Funny Little World

Alexander Rybak is without any doubt the king of romantic ballad. His songs are so lovely and impressive, but above them all, there's is one who completely captured my heart. This song I'm talking about is this one, called 'Funny Little World'. It was Alexander who composed this sweet and lovely ballad, in my opinion, the cutest and most lovely from my favourite singer. I find it slow but melodious, the tune is so funny, and the lyrics are simply perfect. There's no day without singing ''and I don't know for sure, where this is going, still I hope for more, and more'' *-* Apart from all them, I have to remaerk about the wonderful music video he presents with this song, filmed in a Norwegian forest and in urban landscapes. A perfect music video, for a perfect song. What are you waiting for? Click on play, and enjoy! :)

Why Not Me?

Alexander has got beautiful, slow and romantic ballads, lovely violin tunes... but this song will surprise you, I'm sure. This time, Alexander presents you a song so powerful and loud, a song that mixes the violin tunes with the electric guitar's one. I find it really amazing, and a perfect example of what he's able to do (it means everything). Since I listened to it for the first time, I couldn't stop, so here I am. As Alexander says, there are no boundaries to limit our feelings and likes, no limits to feel that music always sounds good when it comes from him. Don't dream it, just play it :)

Kiss and Tell

Don't know why, but this song from Alexander reminds me a lot about his very first hit 'Fairytale'. The violin tunes are very light and melodious, and his voice sounds sweet and free. It's as if a breeze of magic dreams went to myself through the calm sea. I can't describe with ful details how much glad I feel when I listen to it, but I really want to listen it back. It's magic, rythmic, and shows you that gladness is in everywhere. Don't need a place to be happy, just some earphones, and play!

Europe's Skies: part 2

This morning I had to study, but after studying, I didn't have anything to do. Then, I remembered that I wanted to search for an Alexander Rybak GIF animation, so I started searching. There are many GIF's about him (well, not as many as One Direction for example, but it's a considerable number), and I think all them are so cute and funny. But then, I started searching on we♥it and I found the perfect animation. The animation I'm talking about is from his music video Europe's Skies, which is my favourite song from Alexander. Enjoy the GIF, it's so cute and is from the moment along Europe's Skies I love in more.
While I was surfing on we♥it, I found the Russian version of Europe's Skies. The music video is like the official one, but if you saw it, you would realise the difference. Either way, Alexander looks as great as always, and sings in Russian perfectly, better than everyone. A perfect music video from a perfect singer!

Alexander Rybak's Dolphin :)

Alexander is always amazing. The way he sings make his songs worderful, reflexive and very lovely, but behind all that, he's a great composer too. I wonder where does he take all that imagination and inspiration from everyday, but it's something I can't explain. That's why he's magic and truly great.
Dolphin was composed by himself, and included in his first studio alnum, called Fairytales. The lyrics are amazingly lovely, as always, and his voice comes velvet and dull, and powerful and brightful during the choruses. The violin melodies he created for this song are simply wonderful and the way he does all that is simply unreachable. Once more, Alexander shows he's not just a singer or a violinist more. Tallent and art run down his veins since he was born. A limitless artist I never imagined to find plays for you, and does all that just to make you smile. Smile, my dear friend!

The Magic of Disney Girls

Alexander Rybak has been always amazing, as an actor and as a person. But apart from all that, he really has something specail from other singers. Not playing a violin as he does, or a piano. I think that 'something' is his voice. I never imagined that a boy could sing so high, could sing so blue. Since I heard for the first time about him, my attention has grown up periodically, as I have listened some in more about him. Now, that I know alomst everything about my great idol, I wouldn't know what to say to describe how he is.
This time, I have chosen a very special song called Disney Girl. As always as all them, as beautiful as a night dream. As clear as the moonlight, as blue as a tear. As magic as a fairy. If the nightingale who sings in front of you was human, he would be Alexander, because no one can sing as sweet and dull as he does. A dream where I can feel I'm flying, I dream about semothing I lost, and Alex brought me back. That's Alexander's miracle, and that's his amazing song. Enjoy.

Abandoned. Just for a while.

The piano sounds, but not strong, but slowly and sweet. The blue breeze from Alexander's velvet voice reaches you heart and fills you up with a nostalgic feeling you can't understand. Let the song go on, let the voice flood your senses, let the wind blow into you. Now the beats from a beaten drum come to you, but as before, not strong, but patiently. Your hands tremble and your face colapsed by tears. The blue comes to you, somehow you can't explain. Alexander has captured you, well said, his amazing voice. This song is the perfect example of how Alexander can reach the highest notes, and sing with passion, but blue, too. The keys from the keyboard haven't stop from moving, the music hasn't stop from sounding, and Alex's voice still filling your mind. Now, you close your eyes slowly and embrace the melody, and dance with it until it reaches its end. Then everything is silent, and there's nothing rounding you. You've been abandoned, and captured by the magic.

5000 Letters - Alexander Rybak

Alexander Rybak is not just another singer more. I'm sure. But sometimes what he does goes further than I have ever imagined. Every day is a step of a big stair that leads him to perfection. Every day, what he does look better, though I couldn't think once that no song from him could be better than his best themes.
The feelings this song make me feel are so deep and blue, so nostalgic. Sometimes, this song make me even cry, and even smile. It's pleasant, brightful. One day, these 5000 letters will come to me, I don't know when or where, but somehow they will be the cloth which I dry my tears with. Meanwhile, I regarde my life with illusion, the same illusion Alexander makes me feel every time I listen to this romantic song.

If You Were Gone - by Alexander Rybak

The first time I listened to this song was past Sunday, just yesterday. I've to say this song was included in his album Fairytales, and released in 2009, but it wasn't until yesterday when I noticed about its existence. I think that's because people use to listen to Fairytale or Europe's Skies, but not to other songs from him, such as this beautiful one.
This song says so beautiful things, as for example 'if you were gone, the sun will lose its brightness' or ' if you were gone, the days will all be pointless'....'I can't imagine life if you were gone'. Is a song so blue, so sensitive, so impressive, so beautiful, so pretty, so magic, so kind, so bitter, so light, so perfect (:
Alexander should feel so deep feelings when he decided to write the song, that's something I'm sure about. The way he sings, so weary and sweet, and the way he plays the violin along the song. The violin solos are so blue and seem to be unhappy and cold. For once my heart comes smaller, tinier, and blue. I try to dry the tears that fall from my eyes every time I listen to this. It's too much beautiful to refuse its bright, its magic, but my dear Alexander is like this, magic, simple, but perfect *-*

SUOMI - Alexander Rybak

Roll with the Wind - Alexander Rybak :)
